three (3) major credit bureaus) is based in Chicago, IL, with
operations in all 50 states and offices covering 5 continents
and 24 countries. TransUnion can be accredited for safeguarding
the credit history of 100's of millions of American consumers.
By providing updated individual credit profiles, businesses
are able to make accurate credit-based decisions. Without the
help of TransUnion's credit data these decisions used to take
days or weeks but can now be completed in minutes. The TransUnion
database also provides American consumers with more choices.
Consumers are able to shop for the products and terms that best
suit them because credit card issuers and other businesses are

By conforming with the Fair Credit Reporting
Act (FCRA) TransUnion ensures there are measures in place to
provide readily available credit information to benefits consumers
and at the same time block improper access that may impose on
